Proco Football Development is run by two experienced coaches: Gary Knight, a former Taunton Town striker who recently took up the role of assistant manager for Taunton Blackbrook FC. He has coached at Yeovil Town and also works for the Somerset FA.
Andy Gill also works for Somerset FA and similarly coached at Yeovil as well as in the Western League and abroad, and was recently appointed head coach for the Under 16’s at the Somerset FA Girls Centre Of Excellence.
Knight commented “ I think this is a very positive move by
Taunton Town Football Club and I’m extremely excited by the challenge ahead. I want to stress that we are not looking to steal youngsters away from their existing clubs in youth leagues but see this as an additional opportunity for them to develop their footballing skills which will benefit all concerned.”
There has already been a lot of initial interest shown and with places in the Centre limited, parents are advised to contact the coaches at the earliest opportunity.
