Taunton Town Football Club in partnership with Proco Football Developments has launced an exciting new initiative for coaching 6 to 16 year olds. A Development Centre is being created locally which will coach young male and female players with the aim of discovering and nurturing talented youngsters and allowing their maximum potential to be realised. Coaching programmes will be age related and structured to ensure the players have fun and are allowed to express themselves whilst also gaining technical knowledge of the game.
Players will be coached by qualified staff with the opportunity to then go on and play for the Taunton Town Under 18 side and hopefully challenge for first team selection in due course. Recent changes at Wordsworth Drive have led to a more progressive outlook going forward and the framework is now in place for a player to appear at youth, County league, Southern League and ladies level.
